"Monday Night Live"

Live Magically Montessori Online Event

Come join me for a Montessori Kids Studio presentation for children 4-8 yrs. and their grownups. During each 30 minute session, I will be presenting an array of lively musical activities featuring music from a famous composer. (ex: Tchaikovsky) During the last 10 minutes of the music lesson, I will be introducing an art activity influenced by such artists as Picasso, Matisse, and others. You can finish the project at home after the Studio lesson is over!

If you are a participant in one of my eCourses, the Magically Montessori Community here, or a subscriber to my Magical Movement Company email list, you will be receiving an email with the Zoom link to the event a few days before.

"Monday Night Live"

Lesson 5 Season 1 Month 2

"High & Low Pitch" with Mozart

and "Texture" with Picasso


MATERIALS YOU WILL NEED FOR THIS LESSON

(You can access my "Recommended Materials List with Links"

in the Introductory Lesson in this eCourse)

  • A pair of rhythm sticks for each participant
  • OPTIONAL: a Pitched instrument such as Glockenspiel, Xylophone, or Piano
  • For older kids and family helpers: Glockenspiel, Xylophone, or even a piano keyboard for keeping a steady beat accompaniment
  • Corrugated Cardboard, heavily textured art paper, wall paper samples or scraps, bits of bubble wrap, scrapbook paper scraps, and any other "paper" with a texture
  • Non-toxic Bright Markers (colors of your choice, but please include one that is black for sure)
  • Non-toxic Glue (NOT glue sticks)
  • Heavy cardboard or a Piece of Wood for the art canvas
  • OPTIONAL: Tempera or Acrylic Paints (non-toxic) in a variety of colors
  • OPTIONAL: Variety of brushes, including one with thick brushes
  • OPTIONAL: As usual, for older kids and adults in the family, I will be showing how to create a "Bordun accompaniment" to the songs in the lesson with a Glockenspiel and/or Xylophone or Piano Keyboard

This "Monday Night Live" Event for children 4-8 yrs old and their families, will feature a 30 minute Zoom lesson with 

music from Mozart and 

an art mini-lesson based on the art of Picasso.  

This lesson can easily be brought to your classroom groups as well as your homeschool kids.
